May 28, 2005 - Benton Jones will be exhibiting his new work entitled Oceanic Experience at
the Millstone Sculpture Gallery, located in Brewster, Mass.
Sculpture for this show has been created from thick plate glass that was once the heart of the old Provincetown Aquarium, which existed from 1963 to 1985. A predecessor to the New England Aquarium, this marine oasis offered a rare window into the diverse oceanic life found in surrounding Cape waters. Today, Benton is giving a second life to the unique one inch thick aqua-blue/green glass, transforming it into sculptures and vessels by designing, cutting, assembling and fusing multiple elements together in his kiln. A Gala Reception will be held on Friday, July 8. For more information, please visit www.MillstoneGallery.com. Congratulations Benton. |
